Greek Life, Involvement, and Service

Service

Learning through serving others is critical to balanced human development and is an excellent path to leadership development.

Monmouth College supports service experiences in which students have intentional learning goals and reflect actively on what he or she is learning throughout the experience.

Service-learning programs emphasize accomplishments which address community issues and include features which foster participants' learning about larger social issues and an understanding of the reciprocal learning and service which can occur between students and community members.

Learn through service

  • Volunteer during an Alternative Spring Break trip
  • Join a service-oriented student organization
  • Work with a community organization near campus

Albert Schweitzer

"Everyone must work to live, but the purpose of life is to serve and to show compassion and the will to help others. Only then have we become true human beings."
