Hohl advances to NCAA Finals of 400-meter hurdles

MONMOUTH, Ill. —
Monmouth
College’s Logan Hohl (Orion, Ill./Orion) became the Fighting
Scots’ first finals qualifier at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track
& Field Championships today.
The sophomore came
within 13-hundreths of running his personal-best in the 400-meter
hurdles in today’s prelims. His 52.69 qualifies him for Saturday’s
finals at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. Cory Beebe of
Salisbury University ran the meet’s fastest time of 51.44.
A two-time
All-American indoors, Hohl is looking for his first All-American
award outdoors.
Three other Scots
begin their competition Friday. Senior Tanesha Hughes and
junior Gloria Lehr will compete in the women’s discus and
senior Shannon Turczyn will run in the prelims of the women’s
100-meter hurdles.
