MONMOUTH, Ill. – Monmouth College's Amy Horneck led the Fighting Scots to a win over Illinois college in their conference opener and has been named the Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week in women's soccer.

Horneck (Hemiston Ore./HS) had a goal and two assists in her team's 5-0 victory against the Lady Blues, then scored twice as Monmouth fell 5-2 at Grinnell. What made the sophomore forward’s effort remarkable was that Monmouth had scored only once against the Pioneers during a 12-game span.

Horneck leads the team in goals (6), assists (4) and points (16). She is the daughter of Donald and Victoria Horneck of Hermiston.
