Monmouth's hopes for an indoor/outdoor conference championship double were dashed as Coe topped the Scots by 20 points at Ripon. Dori Ternig, the indoor champion at 200 meters, sprinted to a conference record in the 100m and also won the 200m. Junior Tricia Kalb (javelin) and senior Linda Schmidt (high jump) claimed field event titles for the Scots. Schmidt would go on to win her third consecutive All-American honor in the high jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
