2000 Men's Outdoor Track and Field Monmouth College men finished second to Carroll 196-195 in the MWC meet. The championship came down to the final race, the 4x400, and two drops of the baton dropped Monmouth down to fifth place, enabling Carroll, which won the relay, to overcome a five-point deficit heading in. Individual champions for the Scots included Scott Stanton in both hurdle races, Justin Bryant in the 200, Eric Holmes in the shot put, Aaron Calder in the 800, Cort Mills in the high jump and David Hodge in the triple jump. Holmes was named one of the meet's three Most Outstanding Performers. Stanton went on to earn All-American honors in the 110-meter hurdles finishing eighth in the NCAA National Meet. |
