Cogdill earns All-Conference selection
March
3, 2009 In a vote of the league’s coaches, the Monmouth College women’s and
men’s basketball teams landed one player each on the All-Midwest
Conference team.
Junior
post Eric Cogdill (East Moline, Ill./United Township) was
named to the men’s honorable mention team for the first time. He led
the Scots with six double-doubles and a 13.9 points-per-game scoring
average. The business major’s 7.1 rebounds were also tops on the
team and his 21 rebounds against Grinnell nearly tied the
single-game record of 23 set by Roger Sander in 1976.
Senior guard Lynsey Barnard (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) was named to
the women’s second team.
