MONMOUTH, Ill. — The 14th annual Monmouth Cultural Festival,
featuring free food, entertainment and exhibits from around the world,
will be held Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the college’s Dunlap
Terrace.
Entertainment will be provided by the Chicago-based Hydro Reggae Band
and the Jawaahir Dance Company, a Middle Eastern dance troupe from
Minneapolis that last appeared at the festival in 2005.
"This is a great opportunity for the campus community and local
residents to enjoy good food and entertainment and find out what’s new
with student clubs and organizations," said Ruby-Pentsil-Bukari the
college’s director of intercultural life.
In the event of rain, the festival will be moved to the concourse at
the Huff Athletic Center.
