MC alumnus to return to campus
for lecture on biology, historyRelease Date:

MONMOUTH, Ill. — Derek Anderson, a practicing physician in
Keota, Iowa, and a 1999 graduate of Monmouth College, will return to his alma
mater on Nov. 6 to give a lecture at 6 p.m. in the Whiteman-McMillan Highlander
Room of the Stockdale Center.
Titled "The History of Biological Warfare through World War I,"
Anderson’s talk is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the
history department and Beta Beta Beta, the biology honor society.
Anderson has strong ties to the college, as he is married to 2001 MC
graduate Sara Bliss. His parents, Gary and LaDonna Richardson Anderson
graduated in 1970 and 1971, respectively, and his sister, Melissa
Anderson Clark, graduated in 1996.
