MONMOUTH, Ill. — Twenty-six
Monmouth College students participated in a week-long college-sponsored
trip to Rome earlier this month.
During their stay they visited the Roman Forum, Ostia (the ancient
port of Rome), the Colosseum, the Vatican Museum and many churches
including St. Peter's. They also attended a papal audience on Jan. 11.
Among the group were international business, classics, history and art
majors. International business majors attended special sessions on
telecommunications and language schools in Italy. The tour was led by MC
faculty members Tom Sienkewicz (seated at right) and Cheryl Meeker (seated
far left).
