MONMOUTH, I ll. – Richard Harrod of Annapolis, Md., has been
awarded a Monmouth College Latin Performance Scholarship.
The Latin Performance Scholarship is a $2,000 annual award applicable
to Monmouth College tuition and is renewable for four years.
Each applicant must provide a letter of reference from their Latin
teacher and submit a short passage in Latin prose or poetry to discuss
with faculty and students during an audition on the Monmouth College
campus.
Recipients do not have to major or minor in Latin, but they must
complete at least one semester hour of Latin per semester.
A freshman history major, Harrod is the son of Frederick Harrod of
Annapolis.
