We take pride in our hand-matching process. Our goal is to place students with others who either share their interests or their preferences. Students have the opportunity to indicate a preferred roommate. Students who mutually select one another will automatically be housed together as roommates if the paperwork is received prior to May 1, 2010. For students who do not indicate a preferred roommate, the Office of Residence Life will hand-match them with students who respond similarly to the questions below.

Once you receive your roommate’s name, address & phone number by mail, we encourage you to make contact before you arrive on campus. You may want to find out a little bit about the person with whom you’ll be sharing your first year at Monmouth College. You can also discuss what each of you plan to bring to the room so that you won’t double up on larger space-stealing items like TVs, refrigerators or microwaves.
